IDM 2025 – International Day of Mathematics 14th of March 14:00-19:00
This year’s theme is Mathematics, Art, and Creativity, and we are excited to contribute with a Virtual Reality station.
During the event, participants will deepen their understanding of modern biology through lectures and interactive stations, enhanced by our VR application, the DataDiVR.
Attendees can explore complex datasets in a virtual 3D environment with the DataDiVR. They will experience fundamental principles of mathematics, statistics, and biology, visualize fractals, and explore real-world systems like the human protein network.
The DataDiVR platform allows users to uncover hidden patterns and gain new insights through immersive exploration.
The event will be held at the Faculty of Mathematics, Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1.
It is being organized in collaboration with TU Wien and the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
